Our Story

Some furniture just fills a room. Ours becomes part of the family.

I've been building things with my hands since I was a kid. Woodworking started as something I did for fun, long before it was ever a business. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being a hobby and became the thing I couldn't stop thinking about.

People ask about the name sometimes. Truth is, it came from that same feeling: chasing something that still felt like a dream, built out of the one material that made it real. Dreamwood. It just felt right.

I started Dreamwood Designs so people wouldn't have to compromise between what they can find and what they actually want. I wanted to build furniture people are excited to show off to their family and friends, and that elevates their home: solid hardwood, hand-finished, built one piece at a time by someone who cares whether it lasts. Just work I could stand behind.

That's still how we build today. Based in Arlington, Texas, we're a small, veteran-owned operation on purpose. We'd rather build fewer pieces and get every one exactly right than chase volume. When you order from Dreamwood, you're working directly with me, not a sales rep. Every piece is built to be lived on, passed down, and cherished, not replaced in a few years.

If you've spent years working toward the kind of life where the details matter, where you notice real craftsmanship and expect it, that's exactly who we built this for.

This is the kind of furniture we set out to build. It's still the only kind we make.
